Fostering is a fantastic way to enjoy the companionship and love of a cat or kitten and at the same time know you are helping to save a life and set it on the path to a better, much-loved life.  If you are unable to provide a cat long term home, fostering is for you.

Other benefits of fostering include the well-documented ‘feel good’ factor that volunteering provides, the contribution to the community and environment by reducing and curtailing local stray cat populations, and providing relief to those who find a stray kitten but are unable to care for it.

fostering

We are always in need of foster mums and dads.

No experience necessary, you provide the TLC we provide the rest. CRW supplies all food, litter, equipment, and covers all veterinary costs.

Fostering takes place in your own home (we do not have a shelter or rescue centre) and is the best way to help a kitten socialise and prepare them for adoption.

Even if you have other pets at home, it is still possible to foster, as our kittens are initially cared for in a separate room and/or in a large crate which facilitates socialisation. Even resident pet cats that don’t tolerate other cats can adapt (aka ignore) a kitten crated in the living area. To minimise any potential risk, we recommend that your cats be fully vaccinated, and that foster kittens are not mixing and mingling with resident cats. If you have any queries at all, please don’t hesitate to be in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
