GALLOWAY

(GALLIE/JELLY)

Female

Jelly is extremely loveable and is a ferocious cuddler once she is comfortable with you (tucked up on your shoulder/face is her favourite place to sleep). However, she can be nervous and fearful due to a turbulent start in life and so she takes a wee while to warm up and relax in new environments. She doesn’t like to be picked up/handled, instead preferring to come to you. She also likes to sniff your hand before you pet her but after that she melts like butter. She also has sharp claws and can be tempted by a couch leg… but will stop if you tell her off - and a scratching post helps a lot.

Jelly is blind in her right eye, but this doesn’t seem to her effect her in the slightest.

She has a slightly wild side, and maybe always will, but I find that endlessly charming and interesting and I know someone else will too.

She is full of beans and very active, and loves to be up high. She adores her tinkly toy balls and little red woollen mouse to play with and definitely needs plenty of interactive play time.

She will follow you everywhere in the house and always wants to be close/involved in whatever you are doing.

She would be best suited to a quiet house with no young kids ideally, due to her nervousness. But with lots of love, attention and patience she will be your best friend.

OLIVE

Female

Approx 10 years old

Meet Olive the lockdown love bug!
This wee darling really came out as the best Level 4 companion to everyone in her foster home. She is super smoochy with her foster humans, her foster brother cat and foster sister dog Purrectly capable of unleashing her inner kitten, this middle-aged (10 years old) girl doesn’t really act her age.

Olive is very spoilt for choice when it comes to play and loves all her toys, especially her tunnel and any of her toys that involve a ball. She is clever and solves her puzzle feeders swiftly. Olive would suit a quieter home, but has adapted well to other pets.

She enjoys the company of older cat friendly children. She seems to enjoy the indoor life, uses her scratching post and not the furniture. Those looking for an indoor only cat would do well to meet her. Olive is at foster in Wanaka.

MECURY

Male

Mercury is a beautiful boy, he is very timid especially with new people but once he knows you, he loves you and wants all the cuddles. Sometimes you might confuse him for a parrot as he loves to perch on your shoulder.

He currently has a little obsession with his tail, and seems to be causing himself some damage so we are working on trying to train him not too.

He loves to play and climb trees, his energy never stops but he's also a great nap and cuddle buddy.

We think he would suit being the only cat in the house as his interactions with other cats in the garden haven't gone too well and he's a little shy around our young niece so might be best suited to a quiet, adult only home.

He loves his food, and ours , he loves to play, but sometimes he might go for a scratch. Overall he's a lovely cat and will make someone very happy!

SWAGGER

Male

Meet Swagger, he is 1 and a half years old and is looking for his furrever home. He loves cuddles and pats and likes to feel a part of what’s going on. He loves his down time too and can be found lounging about relaxing on the couch, windowsill or carpet in the sunny corners of the house. He is friendly, charming and sweet. He is playful and of course is full of swag. He would be a wonderful addition to a family as he is gentle and patient with children. He’s a go with the flow kind of cat and is waiting to become your new bestie.
